With a deep smokey voice like rolling thunder, Prince Far I came to prominence as a top toaster in the mid 70's with his brand of Rasta philosophizing and muscular rhythms. On 'Message From The King' he is joined on vocals by Culture's Joseph Hill. Sadly in the mid 80s he fell victim to the gunman's bullet, like so many others, but his music lives on.

Trevor Herman (1990)

"To love Jah is the beginning of wisdom and knowledge of the creator is understanding for he alone giveth wisdom; out of his mouth come knowledge and understanding; wisom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom and knowledge shall be added on thee; so whether you are black or whether you may be white, open up your eyes and you shall see Jah light."

Compiled by Trevor Herman with help from Steve Pritchard. Mastering by Dave Turner at Chop Em Out. Photograph by Dennis Morris. Design by Mills & Coppenhall (mc2). Art coordination by Casey Cashman.

DubMatrix:

I didn't create new samples for this release, because all the songs are taken from the albums 'Message From The King' and 'Livity', there isn't a difference (except that the original albums contain more songs and the song titles differ a tiny bit sometimes).
