The photo (left/right) is taken from an article in the 'Blues And Soul' magazine, early 1978. If you click on the left photo, it'll show you the page with the original article. If you click on the right photo, it'll show you the page with the retyped version.

The scan was copied from the 'Dance Crasher' site, but Tim was so kind to sell me this magazine.

The photo (left/right) is taken from the cover of the 'Reggae Quarterly' magazine, the last edition of 1983 I guess (can't find any date). If you click on the left photo, it'll show you the pages with the original article. If you click on the right photo, it'll show you the pages with the retyped version.

Except the article, the magazine also containes a copy of an article in a newspaper from September 16, 1983 (the day after the murder) in which is told what exactly happened. This is also really interesting, because the death of Prince Far I is a great mystery and a lot of stories go round. At least this article provides an explanation of what really happened (I think).

The photo on the left is taken from the cover of the first '50 Miles of Elbow Room' magazine, March 2000. It contains a discography of Prince Far I and the article is written by Steven Joerg. Furthermore it contains a little artwork by Fell, it's an artistic interpretation of the image that can be found in the 'Reggae Quarterly' magazine. The magazine is published by Adam Lore, you can drop him an e-mail if you want to buy a copy (if available).

Some of the scans were copied from the 'The Dub Flash' site, the scan of the left ticket was provided by Oliver.

The photos on the left are images that can be found on the urbanimage.tv website and were taken by Rico D'Rozario.

According to Stephan Goffings these pictures where taken in 1981 during the Tour togehter with Congo Ashanti Roy, promoting the Sign of the Star album and Livity. The white guy in the background of Rico's second picture is Alan Bangs who was moderator at BFBS London and at the WDR Germany.

The photo on the right was taken by Hans Hedegård during his visit in Jamaica in 1982/1983. As Hans said:

"I met Prince Far I in Jamaica in 1982/83 in the front of Gregory Isaacs shop in Kingston, I spoke a little with Prince Far I - He asked for a few dollars to buy a beer, and we gave him some money (everybody in Jamaica asks for money, but I have bought records from Prince Far I so he got some of our money to buy some beers)"

According to Stephan Goffings is Fish Clark the man who is sitting on the car and reading a paper. The man who has his arm on the top of the car is the producer Jack Ruby.

The photo on the left shows Prince Far I in a studio. Franoiss did send me the image and he couldn't remember were he got the image from.

According to Stephan Goffings it was shot at Channel One Studio JA and the picture was first time released in a Book called Reggae International by Stephan Davis and Peter Simon, published in England 1983. The mixer is Scientist (real name Overton Brown) and the man who is wearing the Prince Far I Shirt is Congo Ashanti Roy.

The photo on the right shows a 'some teeth missing' Prince Far I, I found this photo on the internet (I think it was displayed on the Efa Medien site which now seems closed).

According to Stephan Goffings the Picture was shot the second of march 1981 during the Show at Bonn Rheinterassen. It was carnival at this day (in Germany it's called "Rosenmontag"). The Picture was originally for the first time released in a German Music Magazin called Spex. It also includes a review of the show, written by Walter Dahn.

Stephan Goffings send me this promotion flyer for a Prince Far I Show in GB, the 11th of july at Picketts Lock. He thinks that maybe this is the show where Rico's images came from.

This is a composition of 7 pictures that I took from the SkySaw website. Click on the picture to get on the page with the seperate photo's.

Miles Hare did send me two scans. The scan on the left is a page from a book called " Reggae - The Story Of Jamaican Music" (by Dennis Morris).

The scan on the right comes from a book of which I don't know the title.

Marc Ismayl send me three pictures (on the left) that he found on the Swiss Jamarico website. He says that the photo's were taken at a concert early 1983 in Zurich, Switzerland of which Jamarico was the promotor.

While surfing the internet, I found another site with a nice picture of Prince Far I. The picture is taken by Janette Beckman (JB Rocks indeed) and is available for purchase.

The ticket on the left is from a concert of Prince Far I at Zeche in Bochum on 12-11-1981 (20:00). Click on the ticket to see each photo on a separate page. The photos were all taken by F. Balczynski and send to me by Stephan Goffings.
